Do you know anyone that doesn’t like Pizza? I don’t think I do. It’s one of those foods that if you don’t like it the “normal” way with red sauce, pepperoni and cheese, you can change to white sauce and all veggies. You can get the crust thick or thin, you can add any topping you want, and in certain stores get the crust gluten-free. It’s a satisfying dish for everyone as long as your group can agree on which kind to order or make when there are a bunch of you.
The picture below is of my wonderful son, Jeremy, and myself about 16 years ago. I can tell by my hair style. We were at a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese’s, which is a pizza parlor especially for kids with a huge play area and arcade. If I remember correctly the pizza was just all right, but the company was the best. (And I still wear that sweater!)
I wish I could tell you how many pizza places we have in the suburb we live in. Suffice it to say, it’s a lot. I’m not going to Google the names and count. We order from the same place all the time because we like their crust, the spicy sauce and toppings like roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts.
A friend recently took me to her favorite pizza place. My opinion was the crust was like a stale cracker, they didn’t have the aforementioned toppings, and the sauce had no zip. I couldn’t understand her ravings. To each his own. She was happy and the company was the best part.
In my husband’s hometown there is a restaurant that has pizza on their menu. That’s the only place we will order chicken wing pizza. The sauce is a combo of red and wing sauce. The blue cheese is plentiful, the chicken isn’t breaded and the mozzarella cheese does not overwhelm the flavor of the blue. The only problem is the place is an hour and a half away so we only get to have our favorite when we visit.
I have been known to eat pizza for breakfast. As the title says, it’s good anytime. What kind do you like and when do you eat it?
